Fitty is built local-first: your training data belongs to you and lives on your device. This policy explains what data Fitty handles, where it goes, and the choices you have.
The short version
- Your workouts, routines, goals, meals, and photos are stored on your iPhone. We run no servers that see them unless you opt into backup.
- No ads. No trackers. No selling data. Fitty does not use advertising SDKs or analytics trackers.
- Cloud features are opt-in: signing in enables backup; the AI coach sends your questions (and, with permission, limited health context) to an AI service to generate replies.
What Fitty stores on your device
- Workout history: routines, sets, reps, weights, timestamps.
- Goals (weight, body fat, target lifts) and nutrition logs, including meal photos you take, saved in the app's private storage.
- Chat history with the AI coach.
- Preferences such as units and theme.
You can export all logged history as a JSON file at any time from Account → Export data, and delete any record inside the app. Deleting the app deletes all local data.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
With your permission, Fitty:
- Writes finished workouts to Apple Health so they count toward your Activity rings, including an estimated energy burn.
- Reads a small daily snapshot — steps, active energy, resting heart rate, body mass, body fat, and recent workout count — used only to give the AI coach context about your day.
Health data is never used for advertising and is never sold. Health data read by Fitty stays on your device except as part of an AI coach request you initiate (see below). You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Camera and photo library
Used only when you attach a photo to a meal log. Photos are stored in the app's private storage on your device and are never uploaded by Fitty.
Optional account & backup (Google Sign-In + Firebase)
Signing in with Google is optional and exists to back up your data. If you sign in:
- Your Google account's basic profile (name, email) identifies your backup.
- Your workout history, routines, plan, goals, nutrition entries (excluding photos), and chat history are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under your account, so you can restore after reinstalling or on a new device.
- Backups are protected by Firebase security rules scoped to your user ID.
Signing out stops backups. To delete your account and its cloud backup, email fitty-support@onpassly.com from the address associated with your Google Sign-In. We will delete your Firebase user record and the entire backup subtree within 30 days and confirm by reply. Deleting the app removes the local copy on your device.
AI coach (Firebase AI / Gemini)
When you send a message to the coach, Fitty transmits your message, recent chat history, a summary of your training history and goals, and — only if you granted Health access — the daily health snapshot described above, to Google's Gemini API via Firebase AI to generate a response. These requests are governed by Google's API terms; Fitty does not use them for advertising. If you never open the chat, nothing is sent.
What Fitty does not do
- No advertising or ad SDKs.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with data brokers.
- No background upload of photos or Health data.
Children
Fitty is not directed at children under 13.
